
The Strategic Program's division's bootstraps multiyear complex projects of national importance. funded by the Government of India, Government of Karnataka and entities promoted by either of these Government bodies.
Typical lifecycle of such a program is as follows:
- Proposal creation and submission to funding agencies in collaboration with Principal Investigators from IISc.
- Acceptance of terms and conditions of the funding agency and execution of contracts as applicable
- Setting of program governance
- Working with the Principal Investigator in setting up processes for procurement, project and program management, contract management, digital infrastructure management, cash flow management, reporting, project staff recruitment, compliance, etc.
- Working with the Principal Investigator in formalizing and execution of the program sustenance model.
- Transition from the program team to the senior leadership team of the program.

CDGP
The Centre of Data for Public Good (CDPG) is a pioneering initiative committed to leveraging data and technology for societal impact. It fosters collaboration between academia, industry, and government to address pressing challenges across sectors and empowers stakeholders to develop solutions that drive equitable and sustainable progress. Anchored in translational research and real-world applications, CDPG has developed software platforms, AI/ML models, innovative applications and data policies that facilitate the use of data for public good. CDPG has been responsible for major programs such as India Urban Data Exchange (IUDX), Agricultural Data Exchange (ADeX), Integrated Geospatial Data-Sharing Interface (GDI), and numerous other data related initiatives.

The Gallium Nitride Ecosystem Enabling Centre and Incubator, or GEECI, is a small-volume semiconductor wafer and device production, characterization, and packaging facility located at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, India.

India Open Source (IOS) for Mobile Communication Network (MCN) is a software platform for 5G and beyond with a collaborative ecosystem that can reignite the Indian Telecom Ecosystem by supporting Indian vendors, companies and startups.

QuRP
Quantum Research Park (QuRP), a Hub for Quantum Computing and related
technologies is a program bootstrapped, by FSID (Foundation for Science Innovation
and Development), IISc with support from KITS (Karnataka Innovation and
Technology Society), Government of Karnataka. QuRP will encourage scientific
inventions & innovations in the field of Quantum Computing and related
technologies. We envision creating QuRP to foster skill development, mentorship,
and industry/startup collaborations in the domain of quantum technologies. This is
part of the IIS’s Quantum Technology Initiative (IQTI). The mission of IQTI is to lay a
solid foundation for the field of quantum technologies, and to establish a framework
to promote collaborations between physicists, material scientists, computer
scientists and engineers.
